Day 5

Joshua 1:1-2
After the death of Moses, the Lord’s servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said, 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

I’m sure Joshua had a ton of fear when Moses passed away. Think about it. The people had been under the leadership of Moses for a very long time. They saw some crazy things happen. They experienced miracles under Moses, like mana falling from the sky, and the parting of the Red Sea. Joshua had to of had fear for the uncertainty of the future. But the great thing about God is that he operates in the unknown. That is the area where we must trust him. Trust him amid the uncertainty.
