In an educational conversation with the Disciples, Jesus answered their question about how to approach God in prayer by giving them the words to use. Jesus gave the perfect pattern for prayer in MATTHEW 6:9-13, 

When his disciples asked him how they should pray, he said, “Pray like this:

Our Father, who is in heaven. Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
