Day 20 | True Things

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.
What things are TRUE?
Is there any such thing as a half-truth?
Are my feelings my guide to truth?
Is truth subjective?
How do I find the truth?
On the subject of true things, it is much easier to come up with questions than answers. We live in a world where it is no longer politically correct to believe in absolutes. There are talk show hosts and life coaches taunting the slogan,“we all have our own truth.” Well, I’m gonna just say it: truth doesn’t have versions. It is my absolute belief that what God says is the standard and only source of wisdom and truth. He is the WHY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE! Any other version or variance is a lie.
The authenticity and quality control experts in various fields, from fine arts to candy bars, claim that they study the original, perfect versions of their products. The result is a superior ability to spot a counterfeit, knock-off, or substandard product instantaneously.
It is the same with truth. We cannot sit in the schoolhouse of seduction and deception and expect a degree in spiritual discernment.
Your feelings cannot be trusted to produce true things.
Your friends will not always be a reliable source for true things.
Your vocation will not always reflect the true things your destiny holds.
Many moments are wasted in the meditation of conversations, emotions, opinions, and options that are not born from the source of all true things.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
